General Role
The Director of Finances & Grants manages IMMERSE’s financial organization, budgeting, reimbursements, and grant-related opportunities. This role ensures club funds are used responsibly and pursues sustainable funding from campus and external sources.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain the club budget and track expenses, reimbursements, funding sources, and account balances.
- Work with the President and board to plan budgets for events, projects, travel, equipment, and outreach.
- Manage financial documentation required by UCLA or other funding sources.
- Identify and manage internal UCLA funding opportunities, including SOLE, SGA, USAC, and other campus-based funding sources.
- Identify and help apply for outside grants, such as Unity for Humanity, university funding, research support, and project-based funding opportunities.
- Support applications for opportunities aligned with IMMERSE’s mission.
- Collaborate with the Director of Fundraising, Sponsorships, and Travel to coordinate financial goals and funding strategies.
- Help prepare budget summaries for board meetings and major funding requests.
- Ensure spending decisions are transparent, organized, and aligned with club priorities.
- Support long-term financial planning for IMMERSE’s growth and sustainability.
