General Role

The Director of Public Relations manages IMMERSE’s public image, branding, communications, and promotional strategy. This role helps ensure IMMERSE presents itself clearly and professionally across social media, announcements, websites, and campus communications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage IMMERSE’s social media presence, branding, visual identity, and public-facing announcements.
  • Manage a weekly mailing list to send out general meeting reminders and upcoming event information.
  • Create or coordinate flyers, graphics, captions, promotional materials, and event advertisements.
  • Work with the External Vice President to promote outreach events, partnerships, conferences, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Work with the Director of Digital Media to share podcasts, blogs, interviews, and project features.
  • Maintain consistent messaging about IMMERSE’s mission, projects, and events.
  • Help publicize recruitment, meetings, workshops, showcases, and major club initiatives.
  • Support website updates, newsletters, and other communication platforms as needed.
  • Ensure that public-facing materials are polished, accessible, and aligned with IMMERSE’s identity.
