General Role
The Internal Vice President oversees IMMERSE’s internal structure, member experience, meeting flow, and cross-director coordination. This role ensures members are engaged in meetings, connected to projects, and supported across finances, projects, and immersive development.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and help facilitate general meetings to ensure they are organized, productive, inclusive, and aligned with IMMERSE’s goals.
- Coordinate member presentations during meetings, including immersive project ideas, industry topics, research highlights, or new technology developments members want to share.
- Oversee the development of podcasts, blogs, and other internal initiatives created by the Director of Digital Media.
- Oversee the Director of Finances and Grants to ensure funding progress is moving forward, budgets are organized, and club funds are being used responsibly.
- Oversee the Director of Projects to ensure members are connected with projects that match their interests, skills, and goals.
- Check in with the Director of Immersive Development to identify whether IMMERSE has the means to support project teams that need additional technology, software, equipment, or technical support.
- Support internal coordination between directors so projects, meetings, media, and funding efforts stay aligned with IMMERSE’s mission.
- Help maintain a collaborative club culture where members have space to share ideas, learn from each other, and contribute meaningfully.
- Step in for the President when needed for internal club matters.
- Serve as one of the main representatives of IMMERSE in communications with UCLA departments, advisors, university programs, outside organizations, and major collaborators.
